Ideal training for both seasoned and new fraternal board members, these educational Web modules will give your board better clarity on their roles and responsibilities… and how not to get mired in the operational details of the home office.  Give your leadership – made up of executives and board members who often have a different set of tools and perspectives – the chance to get on the same page and lead your society to success.  Make these modules a permanent part of the training your current and future board members.

HOW IT WORKS:
After ordering a module, you will receive either the CD-ROM or a password and username to access this Web module at any time.  In your boardroom, outfitted with a laptop, projector and display screen*, your board will listen and watch these programs at your own speed.  With audio directions to pause programming, your board will discuss important issues and behaviors based on the best practices found in non-profit organizations.  Each module will last approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours, depending on how much interaction takes place.

Board Institute Testimonials:
Sofie A. Perkins
, State Director for Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas – I feel it is a much needed training course in order to be an informed, effective director right after election to the Board and for several years later.

Arlene Cloyd, Director, Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas, KJZT – Very educational.  I wish we had this tool when I became a director and I recommend it to all first time directors.

Jim Wolfe, President, Western Fraternal Life Association – Training of Board Members on good governance is very important. We owe this to our members.

Marjorie Gifford, Director of Business Board, Portuguese Fraternal Society of America (PFSA) – This was the second time that I have been through this class, learned twice as much this time around. Go to it twice, you’ll learn more! Every Board Member should take it and even repeat it.

Danny Rice, National Board Member – Chair, Governance Committee, Woodmen of the World – The Institute does a great job in giving Board members the necessary tools to be a more efficient and responsible steward of responsibilities entrusted to us by our membership.
