Alliance Update: FAQs on where the organization is headed and how we’re going to get there…

At its June 5, 2018, meeting, the Alliance Board of Directors took several important steps to facilitate the transition to the organization’s new association management company operating model.  This CEO FORUM was sent to all Alliance member society CEOs and key contacts on June 26.  The feedback we’ve received has been very positive.  While members acknowledge that such a significant change is difficult, CEOs expressed both an understanding of the underlying reasons driving the Board’s actions and support for the decision to focus the Alliance’s resources on the benefits and services most valued by the membership. I think it is important that every Alliance stakeholder – employees, field representatives, and associate members – be fully aware of where the Alliance is headed and how we’re going to get there, and sharing the CEO Forum with you seemed like the most effective way to accomplish this.  Please take a good look at the FAQs in the publication and feel free to contact me to discuss any item in more detail.  I can be reached at jannotti@fraternalalliance.org or 630.522.6322, ext. 117.  If you’re so inclined, you can post a public comment on the new operating model and the transition process below. Another great way to learn more about the issue – and to ensure your society has a voice in shaping the future of the organization – is to attend the Alliance’s Annual Meeting September 5-7, 2018, in Minneapolis.  In addition to the usual outstanding education program and networking opportunities, members will consider several important amendments to the Alliance’s Constitution that address implications associated with the new operational model.  If you haven’t already done so, you can register for the meeting HERE.  The early bird discount ends on Friday, July 13, so register by the end of the week to get the lowest possible price for you and your society’s delegation.
