Fraternals and the GOP

Read this article and substitute the word “fraternals” for references to the Republican party and the word “obsolescence” for references to the Democratic party. The bottom line is that neither the GOP not fraternals can reinvent themselves if the current powers that be are in charge of the design. Based on our recent consumer research, the fraternal business model has characteristics that are tremendously appealing to the next generation of members; but the core principles of the concept need to be re-packaged to make them relevant to consumers under the age of 35. That can only happen if the folks doing the re-design come are in that age bracket. Boards consisting of well-meaning and long-serving “elder statesmen and women” won’t be able to build a business model that appeals to their children or grandchildren. ‘Nuf said… Please post comments here or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
